Telegram

Telegram is a relatively new messenger from developers Pavel Durov and his brother Nicolay.
The application for communication appeared on the market in 2013, and it's available on such
platforms as PC, Android, and iOS. This service is focused on the anonymity of correspondence
and ease of messengers' use.

Design 5/5

By default, the application has got a white background and blue panels. Anyway, in the settings,
it's possible to customize chats. Here you can choose colors of the background, size of messages
and some other features.

On the main screen, you always see all the chats. To access other functions, settings, and data,
it's necessary to swap the panel on the smartphone. So, the design of the application is very
convenient and is aligned with the functionality of the service.

Content and Features 4/5

Telegram has a completely open-source code that allows third-party developers to modify the
messenger. Also, people can "borrow" pieces of code from Telegram for their own projects.
In addition to regular text messages, you can also share other information – archives, videos,
music, documents. There are no restrictions on data transfer from mobile devices, the only
exception can be if the operating system has already set a certain limit.

You can send stickers sets of which are constantly replenished, record audio messages, and also
conduct a dialogue with a large number of people in one chat (up to 5000 people). Additionally,
it's possible to create channels. In this case, the audience, subscribed to it, becomes unlimited.

User Experience 5/5

The interface is as simple as possible and will be understood even by a not very advanced user.
Anyway, there are special bots which help users in the early stages of registration. In addition to
standard bots, users can create their own, and their functionality is not limited in any way.

All data is stored on special Telegram servers which ensures safety, as well as high speed of
sending, downloading, opening in the messenger itself. Security and anonymity in addition to a
special encryption system and privacy settings are provided by the self-deletion function.

The developers are so confident in their security code that they are even willing to pay 200
thousand dollars to a person who will be able to manage to hack their accounts and read the
correspondence.

The service works without bugs on all platforms. But if the user has some problems, he or she
can write to support which works day and night.

Compatibility  4/5

The application works well on all platforms, and any problems that are connected with data
synchronization don't appear. Telegram also exists in the desktop and web versions that can work
simultaneously. However, they do not have the secret chat feature.

Conclusion

So, Telegram is a free program for real-time messaging. It's compatible with almost any device
and operating system. There are versions for personal computers and smartphones. This
application is secure, so no one can access your data.

  • Built-in cloud storage
  • Synchronization with PC and mobile devices
  • Files of any format can be transferred
